The Elliott Insurance Group was founded in 1974 in Louisburg by Gene Elliott. By 1978 the agency had opened a second branch in Paola followed by offices in Topeka and Spring Hill. In 1984 Gene’s son Rick began working in the agency and in 1997 became the agency president. Rick and his wife live outside of Paola.
Jay Hastert joined Elliott Insurance Group in October 2007 as a producer for personal and commercial lines and is currently the manager of the Paola branch. The Paola location is made up of several agents - Becky Hager, Chance Hager, Katie Hermreck, Crista Miller, Jennifer Morris, Nancy Morris, Mallory Peterson and Sharon Prothe.
From homeowners and auto to business insurance and benefits, Elliott Insurance Group is a full service independent insurance agency. Being an independent insurance agency allows EIG access to numerous carrier options, which in turn gives clients the products best suited for their needs at competitive pricing.

The Elliott Insurance Group in Paola participates and supports many events in the surrounding counties, one of their biggest being the Miami County Fair held in July every year.
