AUGUST BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT
LIFE CARE CENTER OF OSAWATOMIE
Life Care Center of Osawatomie is a
local nursing and rehabilitation facility that
has been serving the area for over 40 years. Originally
known as Heritage Manor, Life Care Centers of
America purchased the building in the 90’s. Life Care is a
faith-based facility committed to being a premier provider of
long term care and short term rehabilitation.
Life Care of Osawatomie has an excellent therapy department with a reputation for being the best in the area. Their therapy staff specializes in stroke therapy, cardiac therapy, aphasia and dysplasia treatment, Parkinson’s therapy, as well as orthopedic services. Outpatient services are offered for all ages. The therapy department is currently run by Tore Smithislor who has worked at Life Care for 16 years.
Lynette Farris is the Director of Nursing. Lynette started as an LPN 11 years ago, working her way through school to become an RN working as an MDS coordinator and now her current position as the DON.
Tammi Conner is the Marketing and Admissions Coordinator. Tammi has worked at Life Care for 12 years, with many of those years spent in the activity department. The administrative team has numerous other members who have been employed at Life Care for several years, including Teresa Martin, SSD, Nicki Dozier, HIM, Bonnie Jeffers, HSKP Supervisor, Jessica McClelland, DM, Pamela Hennigh, Activities, and David Fuhr, Maintenance.
Life Care’s Executive Director is Sharon Bingham who has recently started and is looking forward to becoming involved in our community.
Life Care Center of Osawatomie enjoys being involved in community events throughout the year, including sponsoring a Classic Cruisers Car Show held every May and a Wings and Wheels Bike show every fall.
