I know fall has barely begun, but the Holidays will be here before we know it!

Please be sure to Mark Your Calendars NOW for the
Osawatomie Winter Bazaar which will be Saturday, December 1st this year!

The majority of the Osawatomie Winter Bazaar will be held at
the Loft on Sixth and in addition to some of the traditional events, several new events will also be held that day and into the evening.

Just to give you a peek into the day's festivities...

You will of course want to begin your morning at the City Auditorium
with a delicious pancake breakfast provided by the Osawatomie Rotary Club
(complete with a Lego contest this year) and bid on an item or two at silent auction that the Miami County Salvation Army will be having.

After your fill of pancakes, you'll want to make your way downtown to the
Loft on Sixth. As you are admiring the Window Decorations of our
Downtown Businesses, be sure to stop in and wish them a “Happy Holiday" as
several of them will still be having their traditional drawings that day. *

As you approach the Loft on Sixth, prepare yourselves and those little believers
of yours to enter into a Magical Winter Wonderland! While you are busy perusing
the uniqueness of the Holiday Vendors (with many thanks to PIE) and trying to
decide what you'd like to buy for either yourself, or your special someone, don't forget that those little believers at your side will also want to get into a bit of mischief themselves! And don't worry - mischief they will have!

Not only will Santa be there (ready for them to whisper their hearts desires)
but his Elves as well - ready to show them some of the crafts, games and goodies
that they enjoy at the North Pole. This day is after all,
not only about shopping and eating, but about your WHOLE
family making memories TOGETHER!

After some lunch (provided by the OZ Fire Wives), a bit of crafting, some
entertainment from the Artisans of the Community - and as the Vendors are
wrapping things up, a showing of the Polar Express will be held and open to all who believe. We welcome every kid to wear their Pajamas and bring their blankets and
pillows while enjoying Hot Chocolate and Yummy Goodies during the movie.
And for those kids who don't feel like a movie, craft stations manned by Santa's Elves
will be available in another room for them to enjoy.

The magic of the day doesn't stop there! After the kids have enjoyed their
movie or crafts, the whole family is invited to head back down to the City Auditorium where the Paola School of Dance will be putting on a performance in the
Auditorium just before the Mayor's Tree Lighting Ceremony outside of City Hall.
Horse drawn sleigh rides will also be available that evening for you and yours
to enjoy the Holiday Lights of Main Street Osawatomie.

From there, a most magical evening will begin. Get your Wives gussied up!
Get your Husbands gussied up! Get your Daughters and Sons gussied up!
Get Your Parents, Your Family Members and Your Best Friends all gussied up as
the Loft on Sixth will be hosting a "Fire & Ice Ball" complete with a live jazz band
and a cash bar upstairs while the Kid's will be having their own
"Winter Wonderland Dance" downstairs. Parents are of course are invited to
attend both - but should not feel guilty in any way if they choose to have
enjoy the "Fire & Ice" festivities upstairs with the reassurance that
Santa's Elves will be watching their kids downstairs.

This event (minus any purchases from the Holiday, Food & Drink Vendors) is
completely FREE and open to anyone with a bit of Holiday Spirit!
It is designed to bring our community together to create everlasting memories.

Remember the MAGIC you once knew

Bring those WARM MEMORIES that still Melt your Heart

Think about what makes this time of year so EXTRAORDINARY and be sure
that you yourself enjoys every moment of it with a Child's Heart.

*Other Businesses not located in dowtown Osawatomie will also be having drawings at their place of business this day as well. A complete list will be posted to the Chamber's Website and Facebook Page in late November.

A detailed schedule of events for the Winter Bazaar will also be posted to the
Osawatomie Chamber of Commerce's Website and Facebook Page and to the City of Osawatomie's Community Calendar in early to mid November.
