If you wish to join the Osawatomie Chamber of Commerce, you may print our APPLICATION FORM (Adobe PDF), complete it and return it to the Chamber office with the appropriate investment amount or you may call or fax the Chamber office: phone/fax: 913-755-4114. 1. COMMUNICATION/NETWORKING: The Chamber offers a variety of informal activities that provide its members an opportunity to exchange information about their respective work, products and experiences. Through such contacts, members have additional avenues for finding needed goods or services and for filling personal as well as business needs.
   
   The activities offered by the Chamber that promote networking include Friday Coffees, St. Patrick’s Day Dinner, August Cook-Out and the October Membership Dinner.



2. EDUCATION: The Chamber works hard to bring its members up-to-date information about local, regional and statewide events or plans that may impact members’ businesses. It does this through activities and networking with other like-minded groups. The Chamber's regular educational activities include its monthly NEWSLETTER, annual LEGISLATIVE BREAKFAST and annual trip with other regional chambers to Topeka during the legislative sessions to discuss with senators and representatives specific legislative goals of this region. The Osawatomie Chamber networks with resource groups at the State, regional and local levels including:
1. State Chamber of Commerce and Industry;
2. Southeast Kansas Chambers Association;
3. Southeast Kansas, Inc.;
4. Osawatomie and Miami County committees like those for economic development and tourism.



3. LEADERSHIP: The Chamber takes the lead in telling the general public about its members and the community they represent. The Chamber public relations tools include:
1. a Welcome Program which provides information to new residents, potential new businesses and tourists;
2. Internet site providing members a chance to advertise to the world and the world a chance to learn about Osawatomie and its business community;
3. media publicity for new members;
4. development of or participation in business award programs;
5. participation in outreach activities like the statewide Kansas Sampler convention.
